Scanning in seconds and 16 megapixel resolution
With the new slide film scanner DF-S 1600 SE, the manufacturer Rollei is presenting a multi-scanner with which you can easily and directly process and digitize color or black-and-white negatives as well as slides. The high, effective resolution of 16 megapixels can be upscaled up to 25 megapixels, so that unadulterated images can be created.
Norderstedt, June 14, 2022. The Slide film scanner DF-S 1600 SE by Rollei makes it possible to convert slides and negatives into digital files in a matter of seconds. These can be edited directly during the scanning process without a computer or transferred directly to the computer via USB-C cable for more extensive post-processing.
Via the clear user interface on the front, the Slide film scanner be controlled using its large control knobs. The digitized material can be previewed and edited directly on the 3.5-inch TFT-LC color display. Due to the extensive scope of delivery with different holders, a wide range of image material can be scanned. Included are, for example, negative mount, 110 mm mount and the 8 mm or Super8 mount. With a scan quality of 3,300 dpi (4,300 dpi interpolated) for a 135 mm film, the multi-scanner and the built-in precision lens with several elements ensure a resolution of 16 megapixels, which can also be scaled up to 25 megapixels if required. This means that slides and negatives can be reproduced in an unadulterated quality.
The DF-S 1600 SE is able to Digitize slides and negatives in JPEG format and to store them temporarily on SD cards with a size of up to 64 gigabytes via an integrated 2-in-1 memory card slot or to store them directly on the computer via a cable connection. The content can also be viewed and edited directly on a television or monitor via the HDMI connection on the back of the device and the supplied HDMI cable.
